Miss Nadine Pratchett is a 67 year old lady with weight loss, vomiting and acanthosis nigracans. A diagnosis of gastric cancer is suspected, and the consultant would like to get Miss Pratchett to do a barium meal. Please explain the procedure to Miss Pratchett and answer any questions she may have. You do not need to consent the patient.
